Light, precise and robust for use in the most extreme conditions

Wheel guide elements and control arms have the task of safely and comfortably transferring all forces acting on the wheels via the axles into the frame. A precise, robust and at the same time light axle guidance is a basic requirement for this. The elastomer bearings arranged in the kinematic points are intended to isolate shocks and vibrations and ensure precise wheel guidance, while the control arm must have sufficient strength with corresponding power reserves even under extreme conditions.

Vibration dampers for commercial vehicles

We attach great importance to the durability and resilience of our shock and vibration absorbers. To guarantee this, we only use high-quality materials and components.

Furthermore, our shock absorbers are excellently protected against environmental influences. This protection is indispensable for off-road vehicles. Since shock absorbers are subject to heavy wear due to their stress, we have developed shock absorbers that can be repaired. Our solutions can therefore achieve a service life of well over 30 years.

Roll dampers and sway dampers for rail vehicles

The passive and active spring damper systems developed by HEMSCHEIDT for rail-guided vehicles contribute significantly to driving safety and increase driving comfort. Whether designed as classic intercar dampers, roll dampers, secondary spring level controls and active steering cylinders, HEMSCHEIDT dampers increase running stability and harmonise the movements between the individual parts of the vehicle.

All damping systems are developed to customer specifications and, depending on the requirement profile, are designed as monotube dampers, twin-tube dampers or constant velocity cylinders with proportional valve technology or electrically switchable damping units. Internally installed spring elements can also be varied to customer specifications and enable compact designs for vehicles with high space requirements.

Intercar dampers, roll dampers, secondary spring level controls and active steering cylinders from HEMSCHEIDT are maintenance-free and thus reduce life cycle costs.
